Folks,

Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to hand an 8 bulb Powermodule? I've heard the unit doesn't come with instructions, and for some reason the search function doesn't return anything useful.

I'm curious how you line up the fixture and the mounting holes, and getting it level, etc.

I'm grateful for any advice!

Thanks,
L3

I placed my PM on my tank resting on two boards and centered it where I wanted it. I then used a plumb bob, lined up to the exact center points on the fixture, to mark where I wanted the ceiling mounts. The hardest part is centering the fixrture perfectly over the tank. You could also use a tape measure, just measure several times.

Leveling can easily be done side to side and front to back afterwards.

The "triangular" wire below can be moved left to right to level, and the vertical one can be slid up and down.

Are you replacing the SolarFlare with the Powermodule?

Most likely, yes. I love the Solarflare, but hate the limited amount of bulbs. Plus, I have about atotal of 4 inches that the fixture doesn't cover with light.
