I've been looking into all the HOB skimmers, and I like the Reef Octo 800s quite a lot, but I can get a used Deltec MCE600 for about the same price on Ebay. Just looking for some thoughts on this. Thanks!

Deltec's are considered to be the top of the line skimmers. This skimmer is cool as it has a overflow protection built into the cup that will allow excess water to spill back into the tank instead of your floor, which is something common to cheaply made HOT skimmers. Deltec's are noted for a high amount of air to water ratio which equalts lots of fine bubbles

here is a video I found, not mine.

the MCE beats the octo hands down, the octo is overpowered neck is too small.
