I prefer to buy livestock in person is that is possible for you. That way you get to observe the lfs and the fish for awhile.
Its taken me 4 years to find a lfs that I can trust for quality disease free stock. You can eat off the floor and drink out of his tanks---they are so clean and well cared for :)
