This is a fish that I place right with my recently acquired L. carmabi as my holy grail fish. I simply love this little deepwater fish. Rest Assured, if any of these ever hit the US, I will snatch one up very quickly.

That is one cool fish. Has one ever been imported? I have never seen one offered.

I believe that all that have been collected have been sent to Japan.

Gourgeous fish, another one I'd like to have some day. One thing i don't understand is why do all these deepwater fish from the atlantic/carribean that are caught in florida waters or very close by go to japan, I know they'll pay more for these fish but I know that certain people in the us would happily pay the same price for one of these gems.

I am just as much a rare fish nut as anyone but this fish really dirves home the point that we are all CRAZy!!!!

Seriously though, L. klayi is smaller, paler and weaker than a royal gramma and it is 100 times more expensive!

But yeah, if I had the cash i would get 2.

The fish are about $2500 each in Japan so i bet we could reasonably procure them here in the US for $1200 each.

Price drops significantly with quantity... there were more than just those two Koji took photos of. Group Buy?
