I did several months research before I decided on my JbJ 28gal nano hqi. You can find all the specs here. http://www.nanotuners.com/product_info.php?cPath=68&products_id=435
It is a modded version from nanotuners for only $500. I liked this much better than the rsm. They have a 2009 version with I think ushio bulbs for $100 more.

I like the rimless cubes. I think you have to order them custom though, I could be wrong. Just hang a nice pendant over it, and you've got a really nice 3 sided, modern looking tank.

I like those...im would be concerned about carpet surfing becoming a favorite past time for all the fish though.

oceanic sucks. ive gotten at least 3 broken tanks from them and there lights broke 2 months within having them. ive also had leaks with them and had to re-silicone the tank

Elos

I would say either elos if you have the money or just putting one together yourself. There is usually something you will dislike if you buy an aio package so just look at other tanks and start making a list! :)

#1 would be Elos but you also have to pay for that... I really like my Solana though. It's a sweet setup and it's rimless and very modern. I used to have the JBJ nano cube with the HQI and I even did my own mod to add 2 27 watt actinics (vs the 2 18 watt that nanocustoms sells) and it was ok, but I'm much happier with the Solana. It seems to me that it is a much better built tank. JMO

I have had the 14 gal oceanic has not leaked or had any problems have replaced lights once in 2 yrs. its not 29 gal though maybe the pressure makes diff.. in the silicone they use..

I like my Finnex. I think it boils down to alot of personal decisions.

Elos mini tanks are supposed to be top quality but I felt the mini which is geared towards the Nano market @ only 20g was too small for me personally. Plus it uses a sump and I really was not looking to do a sump system but its cool if your into using that form of filtration. Definately looks like a solid tank.

Solana is the other rimlesss tank out there and I felt it was perfect at 34g for my application. Nice build, modern look, just the right size and easy to add on to it and customize it.

Might not be 29G (is with sump though), but the Elos Mini is by far the nicest nano tank available. There is nothing that comes even remotely close in terms of quality.

In my opinion Elos and Solana tanks look the nicest.

ZeroEdge = great in theory, terrible in practice

Elos is nice but 20gal is too small for my interest. I like the 34gal Solana

I'm going to put in my vote for the Elos Mini, but I don't have any experience with any other nanos. I have been 110% happy with my Elos Mini and don't have any complaints. I really wanted a sump instead of an AIO and the 20 gallon size was what I was looking for. It just all depends on what you're looking for in a tank and what you want to spend.

I love my Red Sea Max 130D. It has almost all the features. Except skimmer that is too loud for my taste and i'm going to replace that. It has full hood and just looks nice all around. And lots of storage in the cabinet. No spider web of wires on the back-big plus for me.

I'm not a person for pendant type look over the tank, but Cardiff tank made by current looked really nice. Almost walked out of the store with that one vs red sea max....Stood in store for loooong time deciding.

I suppose it's all personal preference. All tanks lock some feature, nothing is "perfect"
But that is my opinion :)

ELOS no question. But you'll need a second mortgage to afford one.

I will also say that Oceanic stinks. 6 ballasts in two years. It now sits dry.

Elos is the only way to go. I have owned three Elos systems since I started keeping SW tanks. I currently have two. An Elos Mini that was setup a year ago, and an Elos Mini that I just received yesterday. :)

agreed biocube ballasts suck, I got so tired of the trouble I completely rewired the hood with work horse ballasts

DSA Neo Nano is looking pretty good. I'll be picking one up soon.

I really like my Oceanic 14-gal BioCube. 10-gal is too small and 20-gal is too big for my office. I had an old Ecplise 12-gal when I first started and it was my favorite tank.

I am tossing the lights (just keeping them for backup) and getting the Sunpod 20" fixture to sit on top (not sure if I will get the 250w or the 150w, my old 12-gal had 250s and worked out great, but got hot). Which may mean I will need a chiller.

Got rid of the filtration and will use a CPR Bakpak. I suppose I could have gotten a 15-gal and sectioned it off myself but was too lazy.
