O and my phosphates are .05 Though Im getting a little hair algae thats growing on my back glass and overflow box... I think it could be because I upgraded my light to T5's from PC's about a week and half ago....

Awesome. Thanks GrimReefer82. I do my ritual 10 gal water change per week. I am currently dosing cal alk and mag right now from bulk reef supply two part.

Im workin on it. Ive only been dosing 2 part. So far its working. My cal came up from 320-400 in anout three days. I spread the dose out for about 7 days so that I wouldnt shock anything.

NOT a good salt if you plan on keeping sps. I recommend you swith to reef crystals. It would keep your mag levels around 1200 and your calcium levels around 420 right out of the bag at around 1.026 salinity. You will spend much less money on mag and cal supplements. Some people like red sea coral pro salt but the mag and calc levels will be lower.

I have been wanting to switch to reef crystals, but I bought a 5 gal bucket of this salt and I was going to use that first to get my moneys worth, but I guess I could sell it. I was wondering why I have been having such a hard time with these minerals and such. I have also been wondering why I havent seen much coraline grow on my LR. The tank has been up for about five months and still no major growth of coraline. But my corals and fish seem to be doing great.

By the way GrimReefer82 thanks a lot for your responses. Some people on here can get a little "too" oppionated.

If you switch salt you should get more coraline growth and your parameters will be more stable.

I'm too opinionated sometimes myself:D

the phosphate is high, and the magnesium low, otherwise they look fine to me

D@#n phosphates. That would explain the hair algae.
