Should or can a calcium reactor be used on a nano with an assortment of SPF?

You could. It depends on the size of the tank and the amount of SPS.

A two part solution should be enough in a nano,I dont see the need for a calcium reactor.

Or you can check out Bulk Reef Supply for their two part.
I tried a nano CR in the past and it was a pain in the rear to get it dialed. I now dose 2 part and couldn't be any happier.

I tried a nano CR in the past and it was a pain in the rear to get it dialed. I now dose 2 part and couldn't be any happier. I have an MRC CR1 reactor that has been running for a year on a 28 gal JBJ and it worked great. I had a small mixed reef with clams, acros and softies. The tank suffered a crack and I have since upgraded a bit with a 39 gal tank. I'm dosing right now with ESV until I build up more demand, then I will hook up the reactor. 2 part is easy, but if added only one time a day in the a.m. the alk will fluctuate at days end and stability is what we all strive for. You can avoid that with a dosing pump and dose through the course of the day or get a good small reactor and set it and forget it. My alk was always at 10 with Ca at 460. Yes, reactors take a while to tune (three weeks for me!LOL), but IMO they are great. There is a bad picture in my gallery of the reactor in cabinet next to my jbj tank.

Sweet! Thanks guys for the input :) I going to build a rimless cube bigger then my 14bc I have now and now I might give the ca try! In my experience with my reacor I had a few problems in the beginning getting the effluent to drip consistantly. I used a MJ 1200 for the feed pump and had it in the center rear chamber. It would not get enough pressure to the reactor when I had the needle valve on the reactor adjusted to the drip rate required. It would have to pump up and out of the tank and then down to the reactor. Then it would have to go back up two feet to the tank. It just didn't work in my case so I had to go with a peristaltic pump wich operates at up to 25 psi. That solved all my problems but beware that those pumps are expensive. MRC makes a Hang on version that may work and should not require a peristaltic pump. Sorry this sounds like a MRC add but thats the only ones I've seen with a hang on version. BTW mine is not the hang on version. It is the nano(in cabinet) with a second chamber that I hung on the back of the tank.
