So i've been keeping a 30 gallon tank for about 2 years now. I've had some troubles along the way but it seems to be going quite well now. Anyways i'm moving soon (whole different bag of worms, including having to move the fish twice because the apartment will not be ready on time) and my new roommates would like to keep the tank in the common room, upgrading it to a 75 at the same time. Anyways I think i'd like to try a nano tank, namely because it would let me observe some creatures that I wouldn't be able to otherwise. I'm thinking i'd like to keep a greenbanded goby or maybe 2. I am leaning towards a 5 gallon, but I guess I could do 10. Once the fish outgrow the tank (if that's ever a problem), they'll just go to the 75 (which will likely have 2 ocellaris clowns, a tailspot blenny and a sixline wrasse, so space shouldn't be a problem at all).
5 gallon glass tank
azoo neo led light
hydor thermopump or koralia nano + heater
10 gallon glass tank
18 watt pc light (i'd prefer led first, then t5, but I can't seem to find any)
koralia nano/1 + heater
life:
greenbanded goby 1-2
couple snails
maybe a blood shrimp? (i've never kept any sort of shrimp either)
any suggestions for 10 gallon lights? especially led or t5? the thermopump looks attractive because it would be one less cord, however I haven't heard much about them, and it might be huge. Would it be possible to remove the koralia from the base mount and silicone it to the glass? the would make it protrude into the tank at least an inch less (which in a 12 inch long tank is no small deal).
