I am upragding from my current 24g Aquapod to a 40g Acrylic cube which measures 24 inches accross with eurobracing and 20 inches deep.
I have been thinking about switching from metal halides (150w Phoenix14k bulb) to T5s for better energy consumption and also less heat. I was wondering if anyone had any tips/advice concerning switching from halides to T5s.
:Good idea/bad idea?
:Cheaper maintenence?
:Does it save electrical cost?
:Better color for SPS/LPS?
:Will it burn my LPS?
:What are the best bulbs for best color?
:What are good T5 fixtures for a 40 gallon cube with these
dimensions?
Any advice or links will be greatly appreciated.
