Do any hobbyists have a picture of this coral in their tank. I recently picked this up at a fragswap from cherrycorals. I am hoping to see a more grown out piece (maybe a sq. inch).

I will try to add a picture of mine soon, at least.

As promised:

I am hoping some of the blue will come out. The polyps are more red under daylight bulbs.

This is under:

Is the moonrise monti also known as "seasons greetings", and also known as Chili Pepper Monti?

This is what I thought but the seasons greeting has a different structure and color.

The link on the cherrycorals website shows this piece with a decent amount of blue and green on the base. So far the blue is not out on mine. The green is also much more intense than the mentioned corals.

Regardless I pretty happy with it and the price at the swap was unbeatable.

No, the chili pepper plates out. I believe the moonrise is one of those awesome colored Aussie encruting pieces; aka the wildfire and such.

I will post updates as it grows. Hopefully it tuns out like the one on cherry's website, which is crazy looking.

Right now I have it running mid-tank in my 90g. I have 7x54 T5 sitting right on top of the water.

I have an appleberry up top and I believe this is too much light (polyps barely show any blue - excellent growth rate, though). So we'll see how this was does lower in the tank.

Regardless, nice looking piece......a few progression pics and I may have to rummage through the wife's purse when she's asleep :D

I've seen ATL's appleberry in person, but don't believe it would do well in my system......I just can't keep blues vibrant under my lighting.

Mark, you have the season greetings don't you? How does it differ from the moonrise?

To me the coloring looks more "teal" than green like the seasons greetings, but could be the lighting. Here is a pic of mine, 10k light Left / Actinics Right

To the eye it is bright green. It is suppose to develop blue patches, maybe these are showing up in the photo some. Definitely not yet visible on the actual piece.

The actinic picture you are showing definitely looks teal. I will try and get a picture with all of my lights burning.
