ATL Tar Heels stag question

I've also posted the question on ATL's forum.

If anyone has this coral, what kind of light does it like? I've had mine for 4 months and have only had about half a centermeter of growth from the base. No verticle growth. Used to be under a 150w 14k pheonix, now under a 400w reeflux 12k. I've tried snipping the tips but no real growth has been happening.

I don't have that one. It could still be laying down a base. Some will do this and then start to put on more growth.

med to high light. high flow. should be a quick grower with good water quality. may be more sensitive to high alk.
do better if left alone.

I keep my alk around 8, my ca runs at about 460 at 8. everything else is growing, except this one. I dunno what the issue is. I have a slimer too that barely grows. I find that weird.

I had mine about mid way up my 28" deep tank under moderate flow. It grew somewhat but after I switch over from 10ks to 20ks it stopped. I just relocated it to the top with strong flow so we'll see. I always had very good polyp extension with this piece.

yea..it has always had polyp extension on it, that's why I'm surprised. It has started to grow the nice baby blue color on the base, so hopefully the piece is ready to take off

I cut the tips about 4-5 days ago, so you can already see how quickly it healed
