I started dosing Mg (Kent Tech M) to help control a algea problem and have noticed by PH swings wider dosing started. PH swing was .2-.4 before dosing and .6-.8 since dosing. Mg level is stuck at around 1090 and not going up as dosing (4-5 Tsp/day) continues. Alk is 6.4 dKH working on bring that up as well. Any thoughts.

Increasing the magnesium level requires a lot of supplement. This calculator might help:

Dosing Tech M shouldn't affect pH, so the pH swings likely are due to some other issue. The alkalinity is rather low, and I'd try to keep it at 7 dKH or above. Baking soda should do that well enough. Getting dKH up a bit might help the pH swings.
