building a stand

I have a 40 gallon breeder tank and i want to build a stand is there anything i should include?im not going to have a sump and it is a fish only tanks.

Considering the limited needs for a stand such as this, my advice is to go buy one.

I built a simple stand for my 40b and it turned out to be more effort than I imagined. However, I was able to build exactly what I wanted. This included increased height for my taller viewing angle (and extra height for skimmer) and an electrical component compartment built into the stand. Overall, I think it was worth it but not sure if I would undertake a larger stand build.
