So what do you guys think of cylindrical shaped tanks?, I´m thinking on a 40 gal setup. The idea is that I want to move to an appartment and so I wanna get a smaller tank, but at the same time I was thinking that a cylindrical shaped tank would allow me more viewing zones and more coral placement in a smaller tank wouldn´t it?

So I´m thinking that for the lighting I want to use a Lumenmax elite reflector with 250hqi and t5´s, that would be enough for the 23.6" diameter tank.

Now what do you suggest for waterflow?, I´m thinking on having everything on closed loop in the middle, hidden in the rockwork, overflow in the middle as well. Which pump would give me enough waterflow? for this 40 gal setup and have many water outlets, at least 4 on top and maybe 2 on bottom. Preferably a pump that uses low wattage.

Any pics or ideas of a similar setup?

I cant figure out the depth, but your lighting seems good... I like the column of rock work in the center.

My suggestion for pumps would be two Mag 9.5s One for the CL and one for the return. All plumbing terminating with locline. Should be plenty of flow. I am guessing that you can get a real nice vortex (not the brand) spinning in that tank with all the flow.
