ok iam gonna make my 7x2 tank a trigger only tank

help me decide which triggers to stock the tank with.

currently i have a clown trigger and a redtooth trigger that will be going into the tank AFTER the others have had a chance to adjust to captive life,

please make your suggestions as to what triggers you would like to see in a tank with the clown, redtooth and a picasso(yet to be obtained picasso).. i have some ideas but want to see what others have to say.

Thanks

Thats a tough one- they can get along for a period of time- and when things go south its big time. Kind of the pitbull theory. I have had a pair of clown triggers together and that worked pretty well- but they were a pair. The clown and "redtooth" are diffrent enough that it might work- but the picasso and others of same form may have issues(likely will in long term).

thanks for the reply.. the clown trigger and redtooth are in the same 6x2 tank and have been for 6 months, the red tooth was in 1st and he was a 2 inch juvi he is now a 3.5-4 inch juvi and the clown trigger was a good 6.5 inches when i got him and probably about 7 inches now..so far no problems at all but i know that can change in 1.5 seconds

Clown and Niger triggers together for over a year with no problems but the clown is obviously the boss. The niger just cruises around opposite of wherever the clown trigger may be.

I have a huma and clown with a panther grouper. They're all still relatively small.

Personally I wouldn't miss out on a crosshatch if it's in the budget. I've owned almost all of the more common triggers over the years and my crosshatch is by far the coolest looking and has the best personality.
