7096 or aquasurf?

I have 3 Tunze 6100's that I currently have on a 7094, but it really doesn't allow me to do what I want. I really want to turn these pumps on for 10 mins, off for 50 or other random intervals (or down to a really low idle, way slower than the 7094 will allow)

Will a 7096 allow me to program "off" for an extended period of time? Another dumb question, do I need the Neptune aquacontroller, plus the aquasurf, or is it a stand alone unit?

No you cant turn it off for a extented amount of time. Just on/off for the same time. Yes you have to have a controller with a AquaSurf not a stand alone
