return pump recommendation

I'm looking for a quiet and reliable sump pump. I was looking at the Mag 36 (3600gph) and found out that it is discontinued. Can anyone suggest another compariable pump?

Is this for your 120 with 40 sump? If so a Mag 36 would have been way too much for that size tank/sump. How many overflows does the tank have? I wouldn't go any higher then 1000GPH, and think that around 500 GPH would be good.

I agree with Todd. A Mag 7 wide open would likely be fine. I am not one of those reefers who advocates 10,000,000 gph through a sump.

Eheim 1262 and never look back. It's what I run on my 120 and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Eheim 1262! If you do a search on pump recommendations.....you see tons of recommendations for Eheim.

Thanks guys... right now, I have a Mag 12 and i was thinking of replacing it with a bigger pump (Mag 36 or the Eheim) and use one pump for my return, carbon reactor, calcium reactor, and phosban reactor.

I currently have a 5' over head and wanted to get more flow.
