Thought I would post a quick picture of the Wild Caught Onyx pair that I am picking up tomorrow! The female is about 3” and the male is about 1.5” (hard to tell from where they are in the photo).

Will take many more as they get acclimated to my tank

My pair are from the Solomon Islands.

Depending on what type of anemone hosts them they might lose their black. My pair is losing their black after being hosted by an LTA.

Quite honestly it doesn't always have to be what they host. Just a slight change of setting can affect the black. A different bulb combination for my t5s was all that was needed toa ffect the dark coloration in mine

That is true, I should have stated that was what happened with mine. And in my case I know it was the LTA that caused it (( at least pretty darn sure )). The female was hosted first, and started losing the black first. The male didn't start losing his until he was hosted.

Got them from Bones on Thursday, and had to keep them in the acclimation box until today becasue it took me that long to catch the Clarkii that I had in the tank....I got him this morning at 4:45am when I checked on the tank after I woke up...transferred him right to the frag tank....I think it took him a little while to realize what happened

Here is an updated pic of the pair, they are fast little buggers. Will try to break out the SLR this weekend to get better pics. The female is on the bottom

no updated pictures yet. At first the female was REALLY hesitant to eat, in fact I had not seen her eat anything for about 1.5 weeks, until lat night when she devoroured the Mysis I put in the tank.

They both have a little onyxing up to do, but overall they are getting along well with the other tank mates, and have found a temporary home in the top of my torch coral :)
