View Full Version : anyone know if AGA 40B tank can be drilled?

Just got a Aqueon (formerly AGA) 40 breeder and am wondering if any paned in this tank are tempered? I want to have it drilled, but i want to make sure its drillable first.
I have looked on their site and it dosent give specs on whether the tank is tempered or not

Well i found a PDF on their site and it says bottom isnt tempered so i would assume the back isnt either.

I just picked up one of these Friday and i think there was a sticker on the bottom saying the bottom was tempered but not 100%. The sides though shouldn't be tempered.

Back and sides are definately drillable. I have drilled probably a good dozen of them without any problems. Bottom is defiantely tempered, so don't try and drill it.

40br have such good dems. One of my favorite small display or frag tanks.
