I would like to know it the Crinoid Squat Lobster is peaceful. If it will pick at corals or other invertibrates or fish. How big does it grow. And what is the max tank size.

I hope that is not to much to ask

Thanks

I have one. It's been very peaceful. It just pulls food out of the water column and I haven't seen it harm any of my corals. I've only had it for about 4 months, but from what I've read, they stay really small. Mine is not the most social animal. It spends most of the time hidden in the rockwork.

I've had my Galathea squat lobster for about 2 years now. He is no more than 1-3/4" including his long arms. He is extremely peaceful, just like a porcelain crab, which is a close relative. I got another squat lobster a few months ago, an Allogalathea, and the two of them live together on a Crinoid feather star (I don't think they usually get along, so this is weird). They don't harm anything in the tank, except for stealing from the Crinoid. Even if you don't have a Crinoid, they typically stay in one place, so you always know where they are. Tank size isn't really an issue, they are so small they could live in a nano tank. But it is possible to lose sight of them in a very large tank. I keep both of mine in a 55 gallon.
