I am finding my SPS /acros Monties dying slowly and have found something on them. The polyps have what looks like blackish extensions coming out. I have cut off some of the "infected pieces and there is a black spot in the center. I don't know if I have a worm infestation or a fungal attack, but I need HELP AND ADVICE The picture below shows the center of a polyp ant the end of the coral with what looks like very tiny tiny thread.
I'm sorry but this is the best I can take without a macro lens.

the calcium was 550PPM? that seems a little high to me. what about alk? with the Ca so high i would imagine the alk to be fairly low which might have caused RTN

not to mention that the SG is 2.005.. NSW SG is 1.026

Before adding new additions to your system I would dip everything with revive. I made a big mistake and I lost a few sps because of AEFW. In your case It looks like you have a few things going on. Your salinty is way to high and your tempature us at 83 is also on the high side. Now check thouse two things and see if you can get it down to 80 and you salinty down to 1.025
second problem check you calcium again but this use your test kit on newly made up saltwater to make sure your test kit is good.

CA and temp too high, and alk low. I keep my alk at 9+, CA around 420, temp 78 or less.

temp now at 76

WHERE DO I FIND REVIVE
will this kill pests, still looks like it may be a worm.
I have other conditions I will work on ASAP

I'm going to work on the alk, but how to lower the ca?
I have taken the cal reactor off line

I have had temp upwards of 83 and Ca of 550... with no issue to sps. My feel is that it's your salinity. Sorry to say that the damage has been done and the only real soution is to lower your salinity slowly so you don't loss any fish.

BTW what are you using to measure your salinity? You might want to calibrate it too.

I would wait on putting any more sps in this tank until you see purple covering the rocks.

Have you checked the effluent pH on your reactor? How about the pH on your tank? Something just doesn't seem right with your calcium. What is your Magnesium at?

The calcium is fine and will not cause RTN. Alk will be fine too (like about 7-8 dkh) The temp is fine too as long as it is constant and does not fluctuate a lot
