On my 90g i am having a hard time finding a skimmer for the tank. these are the ones i came up with. which one would you suggest

1. Octopus NW200 (current skimmer)
2. Octopus Extreme 160
3. Vertex IN 180

which would you suggest or do you have another one let me know.

I have a 90g and just recently bought the MSX200 from Marine Solutions. Total of $294 after tax and shipping. I just got it yesterday so I cant give you a testimonial yet, but I did a lot of research prior to purchase.

If I were you I'd wait for the new ReefOctopus skimmers

Isnt the MSX skimmers the same as the Octopus Extremes but just with a different label?

I compared the 2 models, and they both have all the same dimensions and pump, and even price.

So what is the difference?

Personally, if I was in the market for a new skimmer, I would look into the new cone skimmers MSX makes.

If they are a little pricey for your liking, you can't go wrong with an MSX Extreme. I would recommend the 200 for a 90g tank. I used a 160 on my 90g, but would have loved to have the 200 or 250 if either would have fit in my sump.

The MSX skimmers come with a little better pinwheel than the Octopus Extreme skimmers. Otherwise, yes they are the exact same skimmer aside from color. Cones look awesome btw.

Vertex IN-180 for a good skimmer and low price, or bump it to royal exclusive vertex alpha cone 170.
