Hi All, Does anyone have pictures of one of these in your sump? Thinking about it?

Do you mean the sensors?

Nice, I want to see what it looks like in a real set-up. Hard to tell how you have the sensors clamped on to the tank. I have an acrylic sump (CLF1 LifeReef) and can they be attached to a straight edge? I am not sure if I am making myself clear. BTW do you like it and is it worth the money?

It is a great piece of equipment, and you should have no problem attaching it to a straight edge if I'm understanding you correctly.

Chrisp074, Thanxs. Would you recommend this over the JBJ ATO?

I'm not familar with the JBJ system, but can tell you I love my Tunze, set it up and have not messed with it since, almost 2 years now. The directions are a little weak, but that is my only complaint, otherwise I am extremely happy with this purchase.

The kit comes with adapters to mount the sensors in just about any configuration. It has worked flawlessly for me so I would highly recommend it.

Any issues with the optical sensor, ie salt creep, film over sensor?
Or do you clean it routinely?

Thanks, Would this system work if my top-off tank is in another room? Maybe 15-20 feet away on the same level of the house.

I admittedly have never cleaned the sensor. Never have had a problem though. If the optical sensor fails, the float switch is the safety and will shut it down as well as sound an audible alarm.

The cables it comes with are long but not sure if its long enough to go 20 feet. The wires run from the sensors to the control module then from the control module to the pump. Then there is the feed tube from the pump back to your tank. You can probably contact tunze for the exact lengths. Try there vendor forum here.

20' may also be too much for the pump. I have one and it is very reliable, but not a ton of power. I have one hooked into a PM kalk reactor - works great. My only issue is keeping the spare bucket filled - which is really not a function of the unit.
