I purchased the standard 5 stagae RO plus DI system. The water in my area is very hard, alkaline and full of calcium.
Since day one of owning this system the garbage can I use to collect RODI water gets coated with calcium carbonate. Shouldn't the RODi unit remove this? The tds meter that came with the unit reads 300 pm in and 0 out. I have changed all filters and Di bed after 6 months. Please help.

Hi you are best shooting me an email for fastest response ryan@bulkreefsupply.com

To address this quickly if the TDS is reading zero coming out of the DI can it is saying that there is zero total dissolved solids in that water and what you are talking about is impossible unless the TDS meter is bad and we only see a bad one around once a year. You can check the meter by switching the probes around.

Maybe you could send me some pictures of the tank you store water in. Maybe try putting some normal tap water in the bucket and see if you get the same results.
