I am running a 6000 as a return so far no issues. Very little head pressure in my case.

3000 I bought is complete garbage, refuses to restart after a power outage without banging it around. Not the quality the old external ones were known for.

I have a 2200 with 5'-6" head it has been running for almost a year with no problem and no noise.
I live in East Tennessee we don't get alot of power outages but we do get some and my pump all ways comes back on, but it is not as big of a pump as the 3000.

I have a 5000 that I use as a return. I have to clean it with vinegar twice a year and then keep my fingers croseed that it will restart if the power should go out. I would have chosen a mag drive if I were to do it again.

Been using a couple 4000's for a while now. Really dont cut them off much but they have been bulletproof so far.

Had mine for three years. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on 2 or 3 times to get it going again during the last 6 month.

I have always liked them. An added befit is that the customer/tech service is superb.
Magdrive is a good pump also. For inline I would go with the QuiteOne. Less chance of leaking.

I have had numerous restart issues and have gone to Ocean Runner pumps which have worked great so far.
