My bangaiis laid eggs a little over a month ago, but the male spit out or swallowed the eggs early. I've been trying to get them breeding again, but no luck. Did you do anything/ feed anything to encourage spawning? If my male continues to spit eggs out, I will try an egg tumbler like you. Good luck!

My pair started breeding after 3 years. I've seen 4 or 5 different spawns between January and May. I never saw the eggs once but every month a new Banggai would appear near the LTA. I redid my aquascape in May to July so that put a halt to the spawning. I had 3 babies by then. Then I found 3 more in the overflows and managed to flush them out. One disappeared, one made it and one made it back into an overflow. So I currently have 4 offspring in the DT and one in the overflow.
There was some aggression by the parents towards the new 3 that came from the overflows and I'm sure one was killed. However if the 4 babies hang out on the left side the parents don't seem to bother them.
