Can I dose part B to raise alkalinity? My current params are,
10dkh
cal 490
mag 1400
or is it because my cal and mag is a lil on the high side my alk is low?

The alkalinity part will work well, although it's cheaper to use baking soda. I don't think that calcium level is high enough to cause problems with alkalinity, although 10 dKH is on the high side of the normal range already. How high idid you want to raise it?

If it was me I would just let my Ca level drop a little bit, and not risk raising the Alk any higher.

I agree...just quit dosing and let your ALK and CA drop down to lower levels. Both are at or above the max range.

All I dose right now is Mrs. wages in my ATO. I may need to cut back on the mixture a lil.I haven't been dosing anything for alk. Someone told me around 12 was good for sps's. Mine has been around 10 for a while now. I haven't dosed last week so my cal and mag levels can drop some. According to my last 2 mag test it drops 6ppm a day. My cal actually went up 5, that may be a testing error.

The salt mix you use may be high in calcium and mag. This could result in higher levels for these two parameters.

I use tropic marin and it does from what I measured. I had problems try to keep my tank balanced with IO salt.
