Do Candy Cane Corals require low flow or high flow? Different vendors have different recommendations.

Mine are in a low to medium flow. I can't see that they require high flow,

medium or low..high flow would rip the tissues away from their skeleton's and make feeding a pain

I'd say low flow, on the outskirts of the reef.

Thanks for the info. I thought that high flow would be bad but there are some online vendors that say high flow.

mine grow very very well under direct light with low to mid flow. I have them place mid to high in the tank.

Mine do well in moderate flow and toward the bottom of the tank

+1 on the low flow. Mine have done best where the flow is lowest.

Mine also are in low-medium flow... lower in the tank as well. I get better growth when the cyclopezee and rotifers (spelling suks) are fed every 3rd day.

Started with 4 heads in January 09, up to about 20 now... Would be better but I let my alk crash 6 weeks ago and the tank took a turn.. all better now btw.

The LFS has them all over their display (frags)... Low, Medium, High for both light and flow... the low light/low flow are the worst off IMHO.

they are HIGHLY adaptable with both light and flow. I have one colony at the bottom and one midway up with the SPS and lots of flow. both have doubled head count and arent bothered by high flow. I think ideally moderate flow and lighting would be status quo but I've had no problem sticking them anywhere.

A candy cane right next to a tort. Something doesn't make since to me. Which one's easier to keep?

low flow, mid tank is what mine seem to like. I recently altered the flow and the flow was actually mashing some of the flesh on one of the heads. Turned it down and all is well.

Mine is in low-medium flow on my sandbed. I started with one head about 5 months ago and now have 8. I don't feed it very often at all.
