Premixed saltwater

Is it a good idea to use pre-mixed saltwater from a LFS ?
I have a co-worker that uses it . He also has fake plastic corals in his tank .:p

if you cannot remember the recipe for making artificial seawater it might be a good idea to let the LFS make it for you :p

I told him he was crazy for paying for pre-mixed salwater . I would not trust the quality .
