anyone have any experience with this fish? been watching one for a couple weeks. picked it up, qt'd and placed in my tank. have only seen him once since adding to the tank. was at like 5:30 in the morning. I did read they can be quite a bit secretive until comfortable in the setup. this little guy was very active in the tank he came from; never hiding. just wondered if anyone had any idea on how long they take to adjust. tank mates include one coral beauty angel, green chromis and an orange skunk clown.

Might be dinner for a crab already.

If not, give it time, it may appear. Also check around the tank and make sure it hasn't jumped.

no jumping and no crabs in my tank. I do see it infrequently. I would like to know what I can do to get it out more.

Give it a couple of weeks. I had its cousin the court jester goby for a couple of years. Similar thing. I really didn't see it much for the first month. After that it was swimming it out of the rock quite often looking for food. Do you have any aggressive or active fish that might keep it hiding?
