What is the best way to put 2- MP40w's in maintenance mode? It seems like every time I take the wetsides out to clean, I have to go through setting them up again in Master & Slave mode, sometimes losing night mode.

Background: I have 2 - Vortech MP40w's set in Lagoon / antisync mode. When one is disconnected, it begins to flash red.

I was hoping that the pump would reset on its own once the pumps were reconnected. Is there any sequence of buttons that can be pressed to perform the maintenance then another sequence to resume normal operation? Would this have to be done separately on each pump prior to disconnect?

Any suggests would be greatly appreciated. I love the flow they provide in my 90 gallon. Thank you!

Bump!

Not a catchy enough thread title or just a real stupid question?

I usually put mine in feed mode to swap out the wet side for maintenance.

Cajun Reefer-

When you separate the wet side from the dry side for maintenance there are two options, remove the wet side with the power on the dry side, or disconnect the power to the pump first. When you do the former, you MUST disconnect the power to the pump prior to installing it.

There is no way as of this time to stop the pump from spinning aside from severing power to it. The pump must be stopped prior to re-coupling them or you will damage the pump (I'm pretty sure you know this, but some people don't).
