Hey eveyone-

So I am sure some of you may have read my post NEWBIE HERE. Well my amonia is finally 0...WOOOHOOO. I can finally add fish "safely" I had no deaths in my tank during the cycling either. At any rate I have two pictures to show. Nothing really new just recent pics i took this morning. Oh yeah and in the pic of the big island you will see aptasia. I need to get rid of it I know.

Looking good so far, get control of that aiptasia now before it takes over. Nice job!

Now that your ammonia is zero, you need to watch for nitrites to spike and then recede before you begin thinking about adding fish. You may already be aware of this, so pardon me if I'm giving you unnecessary advice.

Im trying to think of the best and easiest way to go about doing this. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I have read I can inject with lemon juice? Also Aiptasia X? Or just let it sit out in the sun. I know if I do this it will kill everything on it. TIPS???

Joe's Juice, lemon juice, boiling water, kalk slurry...any of those injected into the aiptasxia's mouth will kill them. You'll need to be quick when sticking the needle into their mouths, they retract pretty quickly.

I know about the cycle but if I havent seen any nitrite spikes already they shouldnt come right? My tank has been up and running for a week and a half. Live rock has been in it for 1 week and I have been dosing with TLC. Amonia has dropped pretty fast. 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate the whole time.

So I inject in their mouths and not the base? I read somewhere to inject the base.

There is an aiptasia control chemical that you squirt them with that works well. It coagulates in water and they wrap around it like it's food and within a day or so they'll be gone. I've tried the lemon juice before and it's a battle. You have to get them just right with the needle and with enough juice or they'll retract and be gone. Keep in mind lemon juice is acidic which will affect PH. Either way wage war on them now before you have fish and coral to worry about.
