controlling green algae on live rock

I just bought a tank with a lot of really nice purple covered live rock included, It has quite a bit of algae growth on it though. Is there any way to remove this easily and quickly??? Thanks

take each piece out of the tank, throw it in a seperate bucket of saltwater, clean it with a toothbrush, rinse it really well... no guaranteeing that it won't come back though. To get rid of it for good you have to keep your phosphates and nitrates as low as possible
