ok i have a 7ft (~210g) a 6ft (~215g) and a 6ft bowfront (~175g).

iam into tangs, triggers and large angels currently i have one tank stocked with tangs angels and triggers and a few smaller fish and the other 2 tanks are awaiting inhabitants

my question is would it be better to stock the tanks wth a mixture of tangs/triggers/angels or would it be better to run each tank as a angel or tang or trigger tank

i know this is an openended question but i dont know exactly which fish i actually want and my wish list varries to the method of set up

Variety is more interesting. I don't think you will have a problem with the mixture of the different types of fish. I would pay more attention into the combination of a particular type of fish....size and body shape on the tangs for example. As you probably know, they can become aggressive toward each other.
