Excuse the poor use of proper english, but this guys tank set up is ridiculous (in a really good way)!

How much do you think he spent on this set up?

I'm guessing its got to be in the $25,000 dollar range or more.

He has his build thread on here, you too can follow along.

Yeah, I've seen that too, I just wanted to point out this video.

Oh and my estimation of cost is too low. I'm guessing more like the $50,000 range after watching it again and counting up all the equipment.

WOWZA!!! One awesome tank!

I really don't know how much he spent on this system, but I bet you aren't even close, lol. He is contracting out all the work, so I can just guess just what the labor cost are, but its one sweet set up.

Not sure if you saw the build thread but that room loked like a 50 year old garage before he started......EASILY over 100k in the room and equipment. He pry has 30k in acrylic alone there.....

I don't understand why he has the main tank on the floor? All of that support equipment and you have to sit on the floor to see the good stuff?

"Let me show you my awesome reactors! And here is my $10,000 skimmer! And I have this cool automatic saltwater mixer!"

"Where is the tank?"

"Oh, over there on the floor. But look at this skimmer!"

AS for the question about it being on the floor, even with it that low, the top of his reef is still a foot higher than most peoples with 30" stands.

I can see all money. Nice setup but how he or she can live with all that noise

OK, I take back my previous criticism of the tank being on the floor. It wasn't clear from the video that the tank is 48" high (yikes). I guess you have to put it on the floor.

Amazing system. 8 * 600 W ~ 5 KW of lights. From my calculations, that is about $100/month in lighting alone.

It is a designated fish room. Obviously he is as passionate about gadgets and automation as he is about the livestock itself. Im sure he loves the noise that it is making. It confirms all his gadgets are working. Also note in the video (really not many bubbles in skimmer), it appears to be a freshwater test. Not sure if you remember when you did your fw test, but your tank is atleast twice as noisy without salt. Not to mention the slime build up that takes place over the first few weeks......

You know you did something right when your build thread AND the thread about how awesome your build thread is are generating this much interest!
