PPW noise

First off i want to thank you for the great customer service over the phone yesterday. I ordered a PPW for my octo extreme 200 and the installed it yesterday. I am very impressed with the air pull already. But every once in a while my pumpmakes a loud ratteling sound. It happens about every 30 seconds. I have read through all of these threads already looking for the answer, but no luck yet...

I have my skimmer sitting in 7 1/4 inches of water

My water level in my sump stays constant

My pump sits horizontally

I have taken the pump apart 2 times and everything is assembled correctly

The only thing i can think of is my pinwheel dosent spin as freely on the magnet as my original pinwheel did... would that cause it to make a chattering noise... if so what can i do about it?

Was the stock airline replaced? It also may take a couple of days to break in.

also try to get you skimmer in 6-7" of water.

How big of airline should be used? comes with what, 1/4"ID airline tube stock, so will 1/2"ID work? and still hook it up normally, up to the silencer and all?

no i havent replaced the stock airline yet... i didnt realize tat would have anything to do with the rattle, but will def get on that... is it normal for it to chatter durring the breakin period?

If the pump is starved for air it will rattle and can experience trouble starting up. The pump will run a little louder prior to breaking in but shouldn't be any louder than the stock wheel once broken in.
