It fell off my tank yesterday night. When I reattached I got a blue green red error then the red green error. I restarted the pump and no longer get an error message. However the pump is not spinning. I've tried every setting adjusting the speed and nothing. Feeling the pump there is a slight vibration.

Please tell me the pump could not survive the 4 foot drop to the carpet. This was ment for the only flow in my tank other then return so I hope it does not need repair, and the fact its out of warranty doesn't help :)

Got it going again. Cleaned the wetside. Still a bit noisey but I'm thrilled it's working. I knew these great powerheads were tougher then that :)

Once a pump falls and hits the ground the dry side can become noisy. The reason is because there are very precise ball bearings inside the motor and once it takes an impact these bearings can become misaligned or permanently damaged. Typically the dry side will quiet down after a few days of running as the bearings have time to seat in their proper position but its not uncommon for a dry side to never be as quiet as it once was. Fortunately, carpet is a safe material for the pump to fall upon so I don't think it'll be too hurt.

Make sure the dry side is supported so as not to fall again in the event of a de-coupling and let us know if you find any mechanical reasons why the pump decoupled so we can get it taken care of.
