I thought I knew all the tricks but maybe Im missing something that others have done to get their wet sides to stop spinning.
My MP40w was working perfectly ... I took the pump out to give it a good cleaning and after I put it back in, it simply refuses to stay in one place.
I razor'd and scrubbed the glass, made sure the foam on the wetside was clean, ensured no air was trapped in the pump, pressed the wetside hard against the glass ... nothing
The best was 2 days of perfectly silent, still placement, then overnight it spun again!
I have noticed since the cleaning that the pump is a bit louder than normal (not the usual ramp up/down sound but more of a grind/vibration) even after many attempts to hopefully find a sweet spot in alignment.
I checked the bearing and shaft and all looks well so im lost on this one
