I have a 150 gallon tank I want to set up as a fish only tank.

I was thinking about this list.

Harlequin Tusk fish
Broom Tail wrasse
Huma Huma trigger fish
Florida Sting ray
Naso tang
Snow flake Eel
Panther grouper
2-3 Maroon Clown fish
2-3 Damsels
Achillies tang
Ring tail Surgon

Any help will be great before I empty out my piggy bank!!

Dont do the stingray, the tank is just too small for them, and triggers are not suitable tankmates for them. Dont do the Naso Tang nor the Panther Grouper, they get too large for a 150, and the grouper will make meals out of your fish. Also, I wouldnt do the Achilles tang, read the Achilles primer at the top of Reef Fishes as most people dont have success with them in small tanks.

I know it seems like I just limited your choices a lot, but there are other more suitable species for you tank. Like dwarf angelfish, smaller tang species, pufferfish, and some of the hardier butterflyfish.

does that 150 have a 5' x 2' footprint?

I would do a puffer of some sort, they tend to be a nice showpiece.

In addition to yukons post which I agree with, I would be nervous about two wrasses together, you might be ok tho. Also only do a pair of clowns, not 3 and the ringtail tang (acanthurus blochii) will outgrow your tank in under a year. My blochii went from 2" to 6" in about 4 months! He's growing an insane amount and they get huge! You still have lots of stocking options.

I believe a 150g is 72x18x27

I have seen a few 150's that were 5' x 2' x 2' . . . but the more I look at this tank it looks a lot taller than it is wide.

My tank is the same dimensions, I definitely enjoy having all that extra depth.

A 150 tall (which I think that is-72"x18"x28") is good for a few large fish-but nowhere near the fish you put.

A more reasonable stocking for that tank would be something like this.

Harem of Centropyge angels (1 male, 2+ females)
Snowflake Moray Eel
some kind of smaller trigger (rectangle, maybe)
2 (and only 2) Maroon clownfish (Maroons are incredibly territorial)
2-3 Damsels (be careful what you pick-I'd stay with a small shoal of blue-green chromis)
Maybe some kind of center fish-a puffer isn't a bad idea, so long as you choose a Canthigaster puffer, which tends to stay a bit smaller

you could get a pomancanthus angel in there, dont need no harem of lil angels.

Yeah, you could pull off a Pomacanthus angel-but I'm not really a fan of that many P. angelfish. I mean, an Emperor would look neat in there, but a single large fish isn't as good in there as a group of smaller fish-esp. with another large fish (the trigger) already in there. With 2 large fish, 2 clowns, and 2 damsels, the tank would seem pretty inactive. With 1 large fish, 3-4 C. angels, 2 clowns, and a shoal of chromis, on the other hand, the tank'd be much more alive.

I'm not really a fan of a large angel in a "marginal" tank size, either-the big angels are more interesting when they've got more room to get around, and that usually means a wider tank, as well.

Thanks for all the in the info the tank in deeper than it is wide it's the Marineland 150gal with dual over flows and returns. Now with all this could I put some musroom, polyps, and a few Zoa's in this tank with the fish combos that have been listed?

Stay away from the damsels at all cost, nasty little things IMO. I would do some sort of puffer fish, I myself happen to like the Golden Puffer and Mappa Puffer. Then I would do some sort of trigger fish, either a Niger Trigger Fish or a Huma Huma Trigger Fish. Then you could add a wrasse of your choice.

The Hotone thanks for the info I like the Mappa puffer nice color!
And that Niger Trigger is awsome but since I have been to Hawaii and snokled Hanuma bay Im kinda prone to the Huma Huma. I had a chance to swim with these fish and the colors on them are a thing of beauty. That fan tail wrasse is also a fav of mine but that Naso tang is up there also. So I will have to do a coin flip on witch one I spend the $$ on.

The Huma Huma has some great colors and I as well have snorkeled with them as well. I just like the mature Niger for the coloration of their teeth. I would go with the Fan Tail Wrasse if I were you. You will not go wrong with the Mappa Puffer.
