Keep it in darkness until it lets go of the rock to move.
Change the flow until it lets go.
Hold an ice cube to it's foot until it lets go.
If all else fails, try to get your finernail under it's foot and gently peel it back. If done right, you won't tear it's foot, but you have to be very gentle but firm.

I've aimed a powerhead at my anem until it moved.

I just removed a rbta last week. An ice cube on the foot works along with gently prying it off.

Gently pick at the edge of its foot with your fingernail. Once you get the edge to come up, it will peal of easy.

Ok well i am going to try again, my tank is only a 20g im looking for an anemone for my clown to host. my LFS has a nice large green carpet anemone I was going to get it and put in the corner of the tank and move my rock and other corals more to the other side. would this be ok?

The bta will eventually take over that 20 gallon, and leave not much space for the corals.

yea i kinda figured that i just think it would look really nice in my tank, if it stays in the corner

I've raised plenty of btas in my 20. I get pretty luck with clones and sell them off. My rbta finally had to go as it outgrew the tank and hadn't split in a long time!

The one I was looking at was already pretty big and 80 bucks

He said carpet not bta....

A carpet would be way to big for a 20. get a nice RTBA or GTBA. They do nicely in 20gallons as long as its stable and has good lighting.

carpets will get way too big for a 20.
