They are good algae eaters. Has anyone tried this?

I seriously doubt it, they are freshwater shrimp. Plus, they're so small they'd be treated like ghost shrimp, i.e. lunch. If you have a breeding colony then go ahead and experiment, just do the acclimation very very slowly, days if not weeks long. It might be easier if you start with young ones too.

They are not purely a freshwater shrimp. Hatchlings require saltwater or very brackish water to live more than a few days so I know they have the ability to tolerate quite a bit of salt.

As far as size goes, they aren't that small, at least as big as a peppermint shrimp. Obviously I would only put them in a shrimp safe tank.

I'm more interested to see if anyone has done it as opposed to people just guessing.
