How are you guys going about mounting your probes into your tanks? I'm still in the process of putting things together and keep reading about how people "move" their probes around to avoid interference, etc. but how are you keeping them in place?

You can buy ready-made probe holders, or make your own. I made a nice one out of acrylic. I've even seen people make them out of a scrap of eggcrate light diffuser, an old mag-float, and some epoxy (similar to a DIY frag rack).

I like the idea of making my own and that was the way I was leaning. I need to pick up some Weld-on and do some research on bending acrylic.

You can use styrofoam as well. I did that for a few weeks to make sure there was no interference before I built my probe holder.
