half of my rock is half cycled for my 185 upgrade 5' 2' 30" bb sps tand with massive current- OM 4way dilled, tunzewaves, etc... the rest is good to go, and the refugium is populating and healthy

if you can wait till my water is stable.. i have 0 tangs currently. but a good track record with them (only tang deaths in my reefing history are related to aquacontrollers frying- unexplained by Neptune after they fixed it)

plus, he would be being skimmed by your old Bullet II skimmer.
:) you can't say no to that fine piece of equipment.

I won't commit right away if I "win" BTW- I would want to talk over and make sure he will be making a good transition and all needs met.. and my future stock won't in your eyes, compromise him :) So if you don't need him moved next week- my tank may be a descent option.

i should mention, that I, by nature don't' keep my tank so it overgrows with algae. I do have my fuge overgrowing to the bursting point (pods and algae) and packs galore of nori on the shelf... If you are looking for an algae jungle- my tanks isn't the best one for you- especially since half the rock is going to be relatively new... the other half is well established rock.

Why are you getting rid of it Henry.

FF,

I've made a lot of changes in my aquarium over the past week or so. Just moving in a different direction; nothing new to those that know me. So I removed several fish and added several new fish with many more planned shortly. And this particular Surgeonfish wasn't happy with the new plans. Not surprising - it is an Acanthurus species after all and has been in my aquarium since it first cycled. It wasn't happy with newcomers and suddenly found itself not part of the future plans. It has already been removed and placed in a 20g holding tank.

Furthermore, I acquired this fish for free of charge, and hence why I'm passing it along at the same cost. Whoever ends up with it will also have to agee that if/when it is time to pass this fish along to a new home, it'll be done with careful research to make sure it finds an adequate home and free of charge.

To those that have replied - thank you for inquring. I'm looking to give this another day or three to see what else shakes out options wise, then make a decision. Everyone that has replied thus far would certainly make an inviting home so the choice won't be easy.
