What are the ramifications by dosing both part a/b at the same time?

Nothing. Just dose in two different parts of sump. You can't mix the two or you will get calcuim to precipitate.

How did you want to do it?

I have two aqua tune dosing pumps connected to a single digital timer (3 mins = 20 ml of each component). I have the Alk going straight to the return portion of the sump whereas the Cal is on the other end of the sump before the bubble trap.

After I was complete and proud of myself, I read "do not mix or add at the same time" ....yikes.

Guess could get a second timer but trying to keep this as simple as possible.

It's okay to add them that way, in most cases. I'd just watch for signs of precipitation (whitish buildups inside pumps or on the heater).

If you're dripping them, it should not be a problem at all. However, I always found these two chemicals to be real valve cloggers and had to clear them pretty much every day. If your valves work over time, I'd love to know what you're using.
