Live Rock

Hi,

I am new to the hobby, and Im just wondering what kind of bacteria live rock grows.

Is it dependent on the environment?

If so, would live rock in a wet dry chamber grow aerobic bacteria the will break down ammonia to nitrite

What bacteria grows on the live rock in the tank?

Is it worth it to get a nitrate removing filter like aquaripure
( grows anerobic bacteria i believe)?

live rock has both aerobic and anerobic bacteria on and in it as well as a variety of microalgea and misc. creepy crawly critters. as far as keeping it in a wet dry chamber a lot of people do but it is best to keep it submerged.and any filter that removes nitrates is a good thing I like to use alot of carbon in my tanks.
