Let me know where I can find one... I don't think they're that expensive right? I have the apex running via a cable to the router at the moment, and I'm almost tripping over it daily. thx

For now a hardwired Apex is the better option but if you upgrade to wireless remember to ALWAYS UPDATE FIRMWARE VIA A HARD-WIRE CONNECTION!!!
I have used both models of the LinkSys Game Adapter and have had no issues with either.

bummer, they are like $50, the same as a few years ago. I'd think they have gone down in price!

Check eBay -there's a new one on there right now for $21.99 "Buy it Now" price. A used one is going for $18, if you're feeling lucky... ;)

I just picked up a d-link DWL-180+ from ebay for $20 (including shipping). I wanted to get the same brand adapter as my router . Unfortunately the DWL-810 isn't being produced any more and the current D-link adaptor is quite a bit more money (odd that should cost as much as a router).

this is not a wireless game adapter, is a Wireless Adapter for computers withouth wireless cards. correct me if im wrong but this requires installation on the device its conected to, thus it wont work with the apex...
what you need is a wireless brige or a wireless game adapter like linksys WGA54G or a airport express or something of that sort...
good luck

I just realized how tech deficient I am... why can't I connect I use two linksys routers to make this work?

I use a links router as a wireless bridge you have to put DD-wrt on the one that is running the Apex but it is cheap and works great.

I tried this one but ended up returning it. I could not get a strong signal with it. It was located about 50 ft away, but through a couple walls. I ended up just hardwiring through the attic.

Yes, this is what I'm going to do as well. Spent a full day reading about it.
It's just boggles my mind that a router is more complex but is cheaper than a wireless bridge.

Were you able to get port forwarding working to access the Apex via the internet or the Iphone app?

Here's another option. While more expensive, you can get an Apple Airport Express. If you connect speakers to it, you can stream your music from iTunes to it wirelessly, for a piped-in music effect in your living/fish room.

I just recently bought this same TrendNet model after my Linksys WGA600N decided to take a dump. But the problem i'm having with the Trendnet one is that it will constantly disconnect from my wireless network after less than 24 hours and the only way to have it reconnect is to unplug it and plug it back in. In fact i've gone to the point of hooking it up to one of the plugs on my DC8 and having the AC3 turn it off for 1 minute every 4 hours. Any ideas on how to keep this thing connected? Never had this problem with my Linksys. The router i'm running is a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware.

Sounds like a defective unit. I have mine set up for several months. I am running the same router.
