Not sure what this is, I tried looking it up and the closest I'm finding is Oculina? (sp?)

Any thoughts are appreciated.

A quick consultation with Eric Borneman's Aquarium Corals book make me think you're right on both counts. :)

I don't know, Caulerpa racemosa IME is far more bothersome than Valonia sp. The stuff finds it's way deep into the crevices of all your rocks. If you ever want to get rid of it, you have to go at each rock with a screwdriver and physically pry each piece off. Even then, you probably won't get it all.

Nice coral btw. Do you ever notice the polyps coming out?

that corl looks sweet thow all i got from my florda rock was a mantas mess 4 so far i cought 1 that i cant catch i see him ever know and then he starts on snales when tne lights go ot every freaken night
