I was using the Apex system fine for a day, before I updated.
As soon as I installed the latest firmware to Apex, the light went out which I connected to the powerbar 8.
Tunze pump stopped.
Display module has been giving me wrong information. (EX pH was 8.2, but now it says pH is 4- temp was 79, now it says 29)
So, I disconnected the display module from the powerbar 8. Then I reconnected the display module to the powerbar 8.
Then the display module does not display nothing.

Controller has blinking yellow light on status
Powerbar 8 has blinking yellow light on status

So, I plugged the powerbar 8 to the different outlet in my house, but the results are the same.

The status now is:
I think that the powerbar 8 does not have any power.
My computer network can't find <http://apex>

Because display module does not have power, I think my computer does not find it.

I am very frustrated.

Please help me with this.

If the Apex status light is flashing it is an indication that the firmware update did not complete.

How is the Apex connected to your home network or PC? If the answer is wireless then that is the problem; you cannot update the Apex via a wireless connection; only hardwire (the readme mentiones this).

The good news is that it is easy to fix; connect the Apex to the network or PC directly and re-run the update operation. If the Apex is flashing status then it is running in boot-loader mode and the initial Uploader connection will fail then it will begin looking for the Apex un boot loader and it should update after that.

Check back and I'm sure we can get you back online quickly.

In order to connect directly to the APEX disconnect the network cable from the APEX and plug a network cable directly from your PC to the APEX.

No such host is known

This means that the name could not be resolved; did you try the Apex IP address directly?

If you type "ping Apex" do you get the correct address and successful test results?

Does anyone know how this was fixed? I have exactly the same problem. I got halfway though updating the firmware then everything shut down. The eb8 and the control module flash the yellow lights. I can't access the controller at all. Even after unpluging it the lights still flash yellow.

Does anyone know how this was fixed?

Can you be more specific; what is the issue you are asking about; there are a few mentioned and I wanted to be sure I answer the question correctly?

I tried to update the firmware and halfway though the controller shutdown. I can't access the the apex though the web interface or the diplay. The eb8 and the cotrol module are flashing yellow indicator lights. So I don't know what to do.

What you describe is an Apex in boot loader mode; re-run the uploader and after it times out on the initial connection it should find the Apex and re-update it.

It just keeps timing out. So do you have any other tips. It is boot loader mode I just can't get it to connect. I do have it wired in.

Do you mean it sits there counting (timeout connecting to apex) or that the upload starts and times out after transferring some blocks?

timeout conecting to apex
Attemp1 timed out
attempt two timed out
attempt three.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you; I had a minor problem here with my Apex; I accidentally erased it :(

Pm sent; sounds like the Uploader can't locate the Apex.
