I was wondering if someone could help me. I have some green tentacle with yellow disc zoas in my 150 G reef for the past 4 months. The colour of the discs have slowly paled out and now are a whitish mottled colour. The tentacles have preserved the green colour, they otherwise seem fine with good polyp extension. I have recently added another brown Zoa which seems to be undergoing the same problem. All the other corals seem to be fine. This does not seem to affect the two palytoas in the tank.
Thanks

Whats your water parameters>
Tank specs (lighting, depth, flow etc )
Did you start the new coral all the way in the bottom first then as time goes by slowly move them up to give them time to acclimate to your tank and lighting ?

the tank is 5x2x2 feet. It has 2 x 150 14000K MH and 4 x 24w actinic PL lights. The zoas are about 15 inches from the lights. They were placed in the present position from the beginning. I placed them when the lights were turned off. They are not directly under the MH. The tank parameters seem to be fine.
No3 5, Po4 0.03 or less, PH 8.2, KH 8.
I recently had to correct the Mg level which was very low, 1050. At present it is 1300. Calcium was 380 and now is 420 after correction with Cacl2. Flow is provided by 1x turbelle stream 6105 on a single controller and another turbelle nano stream 6045 pointing at the sps. The picture of the tank and one picture of the zoa are in my gallery.
Thanks

I drop them down for a couple weeks to see what happens. Is 1 turnbelle and a nano stream enough for a 150??

I am switching the nano stream to another tunze turbelle stream 6105. The total flow will be 26000 litres + 3.5 L on the return pump.
At present it is 8500 L less. I will drop the zoas and see.
Thanks
