The season tables allow you do the following:

* Use SUN statement to have outlets controlled based on the solar calendar (e.g., sun rise and sun set) and track same over the years (e.g., days get longer/shorter throughout the year)

* Use the MOON statement to control the intensity and on/off times of the LunarSimulator (from Neptune) or an X10 Lamp module (legacy device). The times and brightness tracks the moon rise/set/phases throughout the calendar year.

Note: In addition you can have an outlet turn on/off base on lunar calendar.

Must have overlooked that in the manual.

I have the LunarSim but haven't installed it yet. It's on the list =)

I'm assuming one could also do offsets on the SUN statement? I.e., have Actinics come on/off with Sunrise/Sunset times and have Daylights come on 1 hour after sunrise, shut off 1 hour before sunset.

Yes, you can offset moon and sun statements with +/- values of 600 minutes in the Apex and +/- 240 minutes in earlier controllers.
